Volunteers Needed For Clinical Research Study



Winthrop-University Hospital’s Clinical Trials Center and Michael Radin, MD, from the Division of Endocrinology, are seeking volunteers with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease to participate in a clinical research study. The purpose of the study is to test the effectiveness of an investigational medication in preventing cardiovascular disease by lowering the blood sugar in patients with type 2 diabetes.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be over 30 years of age and must be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease such as heart attacks and strokes. Eligible participants will receive study-related investigational medication, medical exams and laboratory tests at no cost to them. Compensation will also be provided for time and travel expenses.
